Referring a patient to Torrington Orthopaedics couldn’t be simpler. We see patients referred for Orthopaedic and Spinal Neurological conditions, for Advanced Diagnostic Imaging (MRI, CT) and for Rehabilitation (Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy). If you are a Veterinary Healthcare provider with authority to refer a patient, please use the appropriate form below. Thank you for using our practice. If you are a client bringing your pet for an appointment, please check out this section.
Our surgeons combine over fifty years experience in Small Animal Orthopaedics. An initial consultation gives your client an hour discussing their pet’s problem, the next steps in diagnosis and the management options. Only when we are happy that we fully understand and have communicated the options with your client will we suggest proceeding with any proposed management options. We use Burgess Diagnostic Services who visit the practice on a fortnightly basis alternating MRI and CT. You can refer a patient for imaging only and our Imaging team will handle everything for you and organise return of images to your practice with or without (it is your choice) a report from Fraser McConnell of Liverpool Veterinary School. If you have a patient that you feel would benefit from discussion of their problem with a member of this team, you can refer using this form. Use this form to refer a patient for Rehab

The ideal situation is that the person who has most contact with your pet and most understanding of the problem attends the appointment. This will allow the Surgeon to gain the most accurate and up to date information regarding the problem and will reduce the likelihood of confusion or delay. If this is not possible, and in many cases even if this is the case, it is a good idea for the family to sit down and go through the following list of questions and coming to a consensus agreement about the answers:
